Hello! My name is Olivia DeMarinis. Alongside my twin sister, I spent 18 years playing competitive soccer, leading to my Division I career at Wake Forest University and a journey to the NCAA D1 Championship. This experience instilled discipline, creativity, and resilience—qualities that continue to shape my artistic pursuits.

 

Growing up in Southeast Florida, I developed a deep appreciation for its natural beaches and wildlife. The local surf and skate culture, particularly the rebellious energy of the 1980s, captivated me with its vibrant aesthetics. At 14, inspired by this scene, my sister and I launched our own fashion brand, RetroXOelements.com, blending thrifted vintage styles with modern sustainability.

 

In all my work, I channel this era’s essence, fusing video, art, and fashion design with retro sensibilities and a commitment to environmental consciousness. Film is my most powerful tool—a medium that allows me to weave narratives, honor the past, challenge perspectives, and redefine how we see the world.
